Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born on 2 December, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. Britney was an avid dancer in her youth and also won numerous competitions in gymnastics. Britney loves to sing however, most importantly, she enjoyed dance classes. Britney applied for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) at age eight. She was rejected due to her young age. It led her to an off Broadway show, "Ruthless", for an entire two-year run as the title character. She attempted to reprise her role in The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) but this time as a mouseketeer. Her breakthrough however, came after she was signed as Jive Recording Artists in the latter part of the 1990s. Following the release of her debut album, "...Baby One More Time" in the beginning of 1999, Britney became a global hit having sold 13 million copies of "Baby" and 9 million copies (as of July 2001) of her sophomore album "Oops !...I Did It Again" that was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears & Jamie Spears She has a big brother named Bryan Spears & a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney, a child of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston, was always determined to be a celebrity. Britney auditioned to The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on the television at age 8. But she was too young to play the part. Britney along with her little sister Britney, moved to New York, where she played in a variety of TV commercials and in an off Broadway production titled "Ruthless" with the guidance of Natalie Portman. She discovered her love of music and dance two years later when she auditioned for the role of "Mickey Mouse", winning the part alongside Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
