Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin, the Republic of Ireland, on the 11th of November in 1966. Model and an Irish actress. Her feature film debut was in a minor role on her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Approached by a photographer Doody decided to take up modeling and subsequently the profession of commercial modeling. Doody was extremely determined not to do glamorous or sexually explicit work. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before taking possibly her most famous role ever as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. Doody was in the film in the film with Sean Connery, who played Indiana Jones' father. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries, a British mini-series that was inspired by Hitler Diaries. Following her move to Hollywood Doody made her a star. The role she played was Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody's return to the big screen took place in 2003. Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. She played alongside Patrick Swayze in a 2004 television movie adaptation of King Solomon's Mines and also appeared in a short film called Benjamin's Struggle (2005) a pamphlet about the Holocaust and in the British TV program Waking the Dead (in a two-part show named. Doody was cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). The Clinic, a medical drama, aired on RTE. The Asphyx was her 2011 remake. The actress began her two seasons on the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. The show featured her in We Still Kill the Old Way in 2014, a documentary.
