Rachel Anne McAdams
Rachel Anne McAdams was conceived on
November 17, 1978 in London (Ontario, Canada) to Sandra Kay (Gale), who is a
nurse, and Lance Frederick McAdams who is a truck driver and furniture mover.
She is English-, Welsh- -, Irishas well as Scottish. Rachel became involved
with acting at the age of 13 and by 13 was appearing in Shakespearean
productions in summer theater camp; she went on to graduate with honors with an
honors BFA degree in theater at York University. After her debut on the episode
of Disney's The Famous Jett Jackson (1998) She was a co-star in the Canadian TV
show Slings and Arrows (2003) which was a comedy-drama that focused on the
struggles and trials of the members of a Shakespearean theater group. She got
an Gemini award for her performance in 2003.Her breakthrough role in the role
of Regina George in the hit comedy Mean Girls (2004) instantly brought her to
the top of the list of Hollywood's most sought-after young actors. Following
that film she was cast alongside Ryan Gosling as the romantic drama adaptation
of Nicholas Sparks' bestseller The Notebook (2004). The Notebook was a huge
success in the box office and became the most loved romantic drama for the
young crowd. McAdams and Gosling fell in love during filming and continued to
be together up to the middle of 2007. McAdams and Gosling were soon in a
relationship and began to meet. McAdams starred in The Lucky Ones (2007) and
State of Play (2008) as well as State of Play (2008). She also starred in The
Time Traveler's Wife(2009) and Robert Downey Jr. in Guy Ritchie's global hit
Sherlock Holmes (2009). McAdams was the fiery producer in Morning Glory (2010).
McAdams also played Owen Wilson's romantic fiancee in Midnight in Paris (2011).
McAdams then returned to romantic drama territory with The Vow (2012) with
Channing Tatum. McAdams stars in Terrence Malick’s To the Wonder (2012)
together with Ben Affleck and Noomi Rapacace in Brian De Palma’s thriller
Passion (2012).
