Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American boy band
that specializes in the field of pop. The group was formed in 2009. The group
is comprised of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos
PenaVega. In 2009, they signed with Nick Records before moving to Columbia
Records. They starred in Nickelodeon's TV series, Big Time Rush. The show aired
from November 28 in 2009 until July 25, 2013. The premiere episode featured the
group's debut promo single, "Big Time Rush". The group released three
studio albums: BTR in 2010, Elevate , and 24/Seven 2013. In 2014, the group
went on a break indefinitely that ran through 2021. The group then returned to
live performances and released "Call it Like I See The Album".
Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush a record deal in 2009 while simultaneously
airing the television series Big Time Rush. Then, Nickelodeon partnered with
Columbia/Epic Label Group to create the show and include the original music to
the show. The show's debut single, "Big Time Rush", released on
November 29, 2009. Officially released on Nickelodeon and first aired in the
U.S. November 2009 and was later broadcast across the world. The song was
played in a trailer for the series for one hour , and is the opening song of
the show. Promo singles like "City is Ours", "Any Kind of
Guy" and many more were released in the course of the series. Big Time
Rush covered "Famous" by Play. The song came out on iTunes on June
29th the 29th of June, 2010. Following the premiere of the series Another song,
"Halfway There", was released on iTunes on April 27 the 27th of
April, 2010. The track quickly became their first hit song to be charted on the
Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 93 thanks to the sales of digital music.
Big Time Rush's second single, "Till You Forget About You", was
released on the 21st of September the 21st of September, 2010. It was released
in order to promote their debut album. BTR, the album BTR came out on the 11th
of October October 11, 2010. It debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200, selling
67,000 copies within the first week of its release.
