Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell
was a member of the cast of Saturday Night Live before going on to be a star in
big-screen comedy films like 'Elf 'Anchorman,' and Talladega Nights. Will
Ferrell was born in Irvine, California in 1967. He began his career in comedy
by playing an actor for the improv troupe based in Los Angeles, the group
called the Groundlings. He was a Saturday Night Live cast member for seven
years and became a huge comedic draw with off-color shows, such as Old School
2003 and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy 2004. Ferrell was also a
co-founder of the video streaming website Funny or Die and enjoyed great
success in voice acting in animated films such as Megamind (2010). John William
Ferrell was conceived in Irvine, California on July 16 1967. Will Ferrell is
the oldest child of Righteous Brothers keyboardist Lee Ferrell (and Kay
Ferrell), but he wasn't the class clown while he was at University High School.
Studious and somewhat quiet, Ferrell decided to leave his impression on the football
field which is where he established an academic record for the highest number
of field goals scored. Ferrell was more of a relaxed person in suburban homes
and didn't show the same kind of outrageous or humorous expressions later in
his career. In an interview with Esquire the magazine, his mother stated that
Ferrell was "very even-tempered, very easygoing." "You have any
memories of those Matchbox cars?" Will will be very happy in lining up all
his Matchbox cars all by himself. You'd ask, "You want to go to Disneyland
today?" This would be a tough discussion for him to think about. Ferrell
was not an ideal straight man however that doesn't mean to say he wasn't. One
glimpse of Ferrell's comedy talents was displayed each day at school when he
disguised himself and announced his day's events on the PA system. Ferrell
earned his degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles in
1986. He joined Delta Tau fraternity, and pursued a degree for sports
journalism.
