Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born on the 12th of May 1972. She is most famous for her character as attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she has been awarded the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series, Miniseries, or Television Film. She also appeared on the NBC show Whitney (2011–2013) as well as ABC's I'm with Her 2003-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash 2011-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12 1972. Her mother was the executive assistant to the United States Navy, while her father was an agent with the Naval Investigative Service; her family moved frequently during her youth, living in Washington, D.C. and Arizona as well as in Japan. Following in the footsteps of her grandfather and father, she studied painting, drawing and building from an early age. Although she pursued the visual arts throughout her life, it was during this time that she discovered a passion for acting. While in college she was introduced the world of contemporary theater. She graduated with a BA in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. While in college, Seehorn was looking to be a theater actor, following being encouraged by her acting professor. To get noticed she was employed in ancillary roles in D.C.'s theater industry. She was able to secure the most important roles in local theater productions. However, she still required odd jobs to earn a living. In order to pay her bills, she was also able to take on the roles of short industrial instructional films. Soon she began to be involved in more TV productions. Her role was often compared to Bea Arthur, whom was described by her as "very funny," "sarcastic, and knowledgeable" women. Most of these parts were then deleted after only two or three seasons. Seehorn was part of Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn is Kim Wexler, who is a lawyer and the love of Jimmy McGill/SaulGoodman (Bob Odenkirk).
